This is a wonderful vacation to see Italy’s fine cities like Rome, with guided visits to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, St. Peter’s, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel; Florence to see Michelangelo’s David, and Venice to visit St. Mark’s Square and Basilica, Doges’ Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Also enjoy stops in Monteriggioni, where you’ll taste traditional cantucci alle mandorle (local almond biscuits); Mantua to visit the Teatro Bibiena, Trento in the Dolomites, and Bassano, where a grappa tasting has been included. Enjoy overnight stays in the Chianti Hills; in Pisa, where you will see the Leaning Tower; in the Verona area, where you see Juliet’s Balcony, and Padua.
